The easy trap

Every SEO tool wants to look thorough. The tempting shortcut is simple: pad the issue count a little. Round three real findings up to five. Add a couple of soft, always-true "recommendations" that aren't really specific to your content at all.

We don't do this, and it's not a marketing line — it's a load-bearing product decision.

Why it actually matters

The moment someone checks the same content in a second tool — or just re-reads your report carefully — a padded number falls apart. Once that happens, every other number the tool has ever shown you becomes suspect. Trust doesn't degrade gracefully; it drops to zero the first time you catch a tool making something up.

What we do instead

If your content has three real issues, we show three. If it has thirty, we show thirty. Categories and their counts are visible on every plan — free or paid — specifically so you can see the tool did real work before you ever pay for the detail behind those numbers.

This is also why our free tier isn't a teaser with a few fake numbers rounded up to look generous. It's the real category breakdown, every time.
