What the live checks look for
Unsourced claims and statistics. “Studies show” with no study, or a percentage with no source in the same or next sentence.
Overused transitions. Moreover, furthermore, additionally: fine once, a pattern when they open every paragraph.
Missing first-hand experience. No sign anywhere that a person tested, used or saw the thing being described.
Flat sentence rhythm. Sentences that are all about the same length. We report this as rhythm, never as “AI-detected”, because that is not something anyone can honestly claim to detect.
What we deliberately don't do
We don't give an “AI probability” score. Those scores are unreliable and punish good writers.
AI fixes never invent a statistic, a study or a personal story. Where a fix needs a real source or your own experience, it leaves a clearly marked placeholder for you to fill in.
Questions
Does Rankbist detect whether text was written by AI?
No. It checks for specific, visible patterns such as unsourced claims and flat sentence rhythm. Those patterns hurt a page whoever wrote it, and fixing them is useful either way.
Do these checks replace the normal SEO checks?
No. They run alongside them. Every check scores the same 28 tests across 8 categories; AI-content quality is one of the eight.
Which package includes the detail?
Every package shows the score and how many issues each category has. Packages with full issue detail show what each issue is and how to fix it. The pricing page lists what each package includes today.
